Can't close search tabs

LimeWire 2.6.5 on Mac OS X 10.2.1

When multiple search tabs are open such that they cannot be displayed in a single row, it is not possible to close the search tabs in any row other than the bottom one. Clicks on the close box to close search tabs in any higher row activate the tab, but do not close it.

Exactly. I run into that all the time. I'll click and click and they just won't close...

Click on the tab while holding down the command key. A drop down menu will appear, which allows you to close search. It's easy.
