Thumbs down Can't use itunes

I also can't move any files to "itunes". I tried playing the songs and going to preferences as well as the add to library feature? I'm stumped any other ideas

Cool hhhhhmmmmm...

greetings,
i have been using limewire with jaguar on my imac with great success once the props folder was fixed...

in the interest of not keeping 2 copies of mp3s on my hard disk, one in limewire shared folder and one in itunes music folder, i selected the "itunes music" folder(users/music/itunes/itunes music) as my sharing folder...

now, when i download from limewire, mp3s go automatically into my itunes library, and when i import cds into itunes, they automatically become shared files...

this seems to be working well, any thoughts?

Wink

Thanks, that worked although the program seems to have a mind of its own. In "add to library" I use Mac hd/users/name/shared.

Default

with my current setup, there is no need to add to the library, because the library is the shared folder!

Default itunes file sharing

The error I was getting was itunes couldn't open due to a "shared library error". Loaded itunes 3 upgrade and can now open itunes or limewire seperately, but can't get them to merge. What up?

Default itunes

let me try to clarify what i explained above, hope it helps...

in limewire prefs., i changed the default share folder to my "itunes music" (which is the library where itunes music is stored), i don't use the "shared" users folder which is the limewire default...
i also deselect "use limewire player".

with this setup, i don't get the "add to library" message, because the download is put into the library by limewire and is automatically available to itunes...

by doing this, when i import a cd into itunes, it then automatically becomes shared in limewire!
