Unhappy Solution to the Pref. problem has unexpected....

I used the solution mentioned in the thread 'limewire forgets all my prefernces'

It worked fine, but now i have a file " .DS_Store " in every window of the finder & on the desktop which i can't delete due to error code2.

Tried re-starting the computer - no change.
Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have a solution?

If so plz post!!!!

As far as I know there are and always have been ".DS_Store" files in each and every Folder. This is part of OSX. So don't worry.
But you should not be able to see these files in the Finder because all filenames starting with a "." (dot) are set to be invisible.
Depending on the application you use, you may however see them in "Open/Save" dialog boxes.

Default ds_store

All those files are SUPPPOSED to be there. The are in each folder. Don't remove them. They are usually hidden so you were not aware of them before. After dumping the props folder, reset your tinkertool to "not show" the hidden folders. They will disappear from sight.

Thumbs up Worked under Jaguar

I removed the limewire.props directory from my home directory and limewire no longer has trouble with my settings.

Also, if you don't want to download a tool to view hidden files, you can just do it from the shell.
I use bash (/usr/bin/bash) and then you just would type:
rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/.limewire/limewire.props
