Default kazaa for mac?

Will there ever be a mac version of kazaa available? When I qwent to vist my folks, I used their peecee. I installed kazaa to see how it works. I was amazed. Tons of files available, and almost immediate transfers, instead of the annoying "requery sent" crap.

We are missing out on alot by not having kazaa available to us.

I haven't seen any evidence that the Kazaa people have any interest in developing a mac os x client, but there is a so-called "shadow client" available called Neo , which can be used to download from Kazaa hosts. The downside is that you have to be patient while Neo looks for hosts. If you decide to try it, be sure you read carefully before you get started. You won't get good results unless you follow their instructions, such as clicking on the "master list" button to get the ball rolling on finding hosts.

Aquisition isn't a Kazaa client (see original post) and besides it sucks almost as bad as LimeWire. Not too suprising considering it's just a different interface slapped on top of LimeWire. Kick off Neo, go have a beer while it grabs hosts, then come back to have access to thousands of hosts with terabyts of data. Hint: Only download the files with a blue circles next to them and you'll get great results.

Default So right.

Thank you, thank you! You were so right about Neo. I downloaded it last night after reading this thread and it's been working like a dream. None of the problems I've been having with Limewire and Mac OSX.

Thanks again.
