Lightbulb Possible way round the "could not move to library" bug.

I too have been getting the dreaded "could not move to library" bug!

But, if I kill the download and then download it again it carries on from where it went wrong, occasionally I have to repeat the process but it seems to finish it eventually.

Just a suggestion... when people get this error, how many downloads do you have going?

I've had this happen from time to time, and noticed that it usually happened when I had a big queue built through multiple sessions. Haven't counted how many, but will next time.

I get this in about one of five downloads too. Its not the worst bug i have ever seen, but it is a pisser when you try to download and come home to see you got zero.

I have tryed to come up with a solution and the best i can do is figure it must be dependent on the system of file orgin.

The_Jaysta has a workaround if you care to read his comments.

Works for me anyway.

It's not 100% but it gets them 9/10 times.

There is a workaround for this. You can go to the incomplete folder, and sometimes the file is there, if you are still connected to the server(s). Once you go into the incomplete folder, you can drag the file wherever you want it, and change the name, taking the T-xxxxx number off of it - and the file is usually pretty cool - this is driving me crazy - but I thought I'd offer the help. I hope those guys at Limewire will pay attention to us.

Also - how will I know when my six months of Pro are up?

Question How to recover the file?

The file which "could not be moved to library" must be in my computer somewhere. Where can i find it?
I've tried all the methods and I just could not get the file again.

Default reply to finding failed files

i have had this problem and it seems to appear when a download is complete, the files are located in the incomplete folder on your hard drive.

Default Number of open files?

I've suspected that it has to do with the # of files the JAVA session has to the hard drive. It seems that it really started getting bad when multiple sources was introduced, but when I allow a bunch of simultaneous downloads it starts dropping files.

It seems like it's more of a problem downloading big files, so I've thought that maybe every connection to that 700MB file reserves 700MB somehow, and then it has problems with disk space, but I haven't really figured out how to verify this theory.
