Default burning cds

I just bought my mac with the osx operating system and i use limewire. How can i burn the songs that I have downloaded onto a cd? I am kind of computer illiterate so if you could respond with baby talk that would be great.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

Launch iTunes (from the dock).

Click the Help button; click iTunes Help.

Click Contents, then Burning a CD.

It's pretty simple and the instructions are quite clear.

Note, if you want to share your newly burned CD with a Windoze user or if you want to play the CD on a regular CD player then you may need special format(s) not available from iTunes.

Check out Roxio (formerly Adaptec) Toast

Burning CD's that play anywhere (my jam box, my car, my PC at work, etc ...) is super easy. First, import the mp3's into iTunes (any time you play one in iTunes, it is automatically imported). Make a new music folder by clicking the '+' sign at the bottom of iTunes, then drag the songs you want to be on your CD to it. Then click on your new folder so that is the one you are seeing. When you put your blank CD in, OS-X will ask you what kind of CD you want it to be. If you want it to play in regular CD players that don't support mp3, choose "iTunes Audio". Click on the "burn" button that should now be in the top right hand corner of iTunes. Also, there are some settings you can play with in preferences, but the defaults are fine. If you want to make any mp3 CD, just burn a data CD where you drag your mp3's to it. You can store 10 times as much music and some of the new DVD players will play them as well as PC, Macs, and mp3 CD players. I just bought a Mac about 6 months ago and have found no compatibility problems like I heard there used to be before OS-X.
