Disapearing Downloads, Incomplete, Duplicates, etc.etc.ect!!!!

Hello, I am very new to this Limewire stuff. I am on a OSX Ibook and at first I downloaded every song with ease, they play and I love it.
Here is my first problem. I noticed that my first download session (about 10 songs) somehow turned up in my itunes library. How did I get them there and why won't the rest of my songs go there too?
My second is that I got on my compter to download the other day and all of the things i tried to download finished downloading ( I only know this because the "clear inactive" button highlighted, and I clicked it) but did not go to my library. Some went to the "incomplete" folder and some disapeared and I can't find them. Where did they go? why didn't they finish downloading if they claimed to be done?
And why in the "incomplete" folder are there like millions of duplicates of the same songs i tried to download but none of them are whole?
Any info or advise anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. I'm kind of losing my mind.

I sympathize. I too lost several big downloads that cost hours. When they weren't in the LimeWire folder I searched with Sherlock. They weren't anywhere on my computer. Thinking the names might have been changed, I searched for all files changed today. They weren't there either. They evaporated, but somehow LimeWire was satisfied that they were safely saved somewhere.

I would remove and reinstall the software, set the preferences, then test that it is working with some small files before attempting major downloads again. Watch out for the kernel panics I reported elsewhere- best not to have any important files open while LimeWire is on.

thinking we have the same prob.

Try running your terminal and type in "open /volumes" when I did this I found all of the duplicated places LW Pro made for saving. Also check out my thread about "Invisible Volumes"
