Transfer Interrupted error running Limewire 2.8.5 on a G4/400MHz with 512MB and OSX 10.2.3:
LimeWire seems to have settled down to a slow but steady acceptability (only one Kernel panic in the last two weeks) now that I use the workaround for the Window Manager bug [always Hide LimeWire before flip/flopping to any other applications].
But . . .
most uploads now end with "Transfer Interrupted" and most downloads revert to "Requery Sent." I don't believe that so many people are having communications problems all of a sudden. I suspect a bug in LimeWire's new parcelled downloading philosophy. I think that somehow the sofware gets lost when cycling between complete/upload/complete states.
also, my gut feeling is that this new parcelled system is slower overall than a straight beginning-to-end download.
Most of the files I share are large (50-400MB), so I've had amply time to observe download/upload behavior.
A good New Year to all!
