Question Unexspected quits (lots!)

So, Limewire keeps its preferences (mostly) and does a much better job restarting downloads after a crash. That's great. There is, however, one serious obstacle for me to go Pro: Limewire crashes approximately every 15-20 mins. There seems to be no coherent pattern to it other than the time intervall. I'm using version 2.8.5 with MacOS X 10.2.3. Maybe it's related to number of files I'm sharing ? : 1300 (currently).
Any hint/help would be greatly appreciated.

Disabling ultrapeer in preferences has helped mine stop crashing, but unfortunately, in 2.8.5 pro it will still crash even with the box checked. But a lot less than you are experiencing.

This version is extremely buggy, and we are all waiting for an update.

Default Ultrapeer is disabled

I disabled the ultrapeer function some time ago (already in earlier versions). Another thing that happens is that Gnutella always only establishes 3 connections, no matter how many I specify. Anyway, entering the correct number again yields the requested number of connections. Well, good to know I'm not the only one with crash probs.
Let's hope it's gonna be less buggy with the next version...

Those petty things aside:

Happy New Year everyone !

Yeah, the connection thing has been that way as long as I can remember. One of the first things I have to do is go into 'connections' and type over the number listed with the same exact number, then it increases.

A new bugaboo in this version is that even if I set my upload slots to a maximum of, say 5, I look at the monitor window and frequently see more than that uploading, although they are continually dropping like flies in a snowstorm.

ARGH!
