![]() Has LimeWire rolled back to version 2.8.4? When I went into www.limewire.com this morning I was amazed to discover that the download page offerred was 2.8.4! Not 2.8.5!! If they've decided to abandon 2.8.5 don't you think it would have been friendly to have told us. It shouldn't be all that time consuming to put an announcement in this Forum. Anyone using 2.8.4? Is it less problematic than 2.8.5? |

![]() Clueless, the free version I downloaded from the LimeWire web page two weeks ago (12 Dec 2002) is 2.8.5. Yesterday the web page was offerring 2.8.4. That makes me very nervous. [Perhaps LimeWire, like Merlin the magician, youthens instead of aging!] Janet |

![]() You know, they automated responsed me after submitting a bug report to revert to an earlier version, But I was using Pro 2.8.5, not free. When I checked the Pro page, it was still 2.8.5. When I checked the free page, it was 2.8.4. But I had not checked the free page before, since I had no need to. Maybe that is what they meant when they said revert to an earlier version. Of course, it is all speculation. I hope they all made a New Year's resolution to CLEARLY COMMUNICATE THEIR INSTRUCTIONS to their customers. |
