![]() LimeWire's installer won't run. It says "Cannot launch Java application" with the error message, "The main class 'com.zerog.lax.LAX' could not be loaded. I've gotten this very same message for the past dozen or so versions of LimeWire. Until today, I had no trouble running a much older copy of LimeWire. Today, I followed LimeWire's advice to remove and reinstall the software if there are problems. Now the installer doesn't work. I submitted a bug report on the ZeroG.lax thing. The reply said to reinstall. Well, if the problem is that the installer won't run, how do I reinstall? It's like telling someone whose car won't start to fix it by starting the car. Anyone else seen this? (I mean the Java error, not LimeWire's lack of helpful response.) -- Ron happymac@attbi.com |
