No text return from search

I have been trying to use both 2.8.6 from my download page and the alpha 2.9.3 with OS 10.2.4 and I not able to see any songs come up in the list when I do a search. However, on the tab it shows numbers of responses, but nothing appears below. How do I fix that? I did not have this problem before the Java update, so I ran the Java update again, and the problem still occurs. And yes I have reinstalled Limewire at least 10 times.
