Well, huh, prob... Hi. I have a prob with Lime Wire install. Everytime I try to install, everything seems to work well, but I always have 2 messages appearing on my desktop. One is called "err.txt" and the other one is "out.txt". Does anybody here has any idea of what that means? Well, anyway, Lime Wire can run, but 1 time on 2, the downloads finished by "corrupted files". Is this a prob with my comp, or does that mean that there are more and more dangerous files on the network? I'm working now under OSX.2.5, with the last Java 1.4.1, but the prob still here. Hope I'll have an answer soon! Thanx by advance! |

Corrupted files Hi There are two reasons for corruptions appearing: any disruption in the data flow between your computer and the downloading host(s) can lose sections of the data or change the bits so that a corruption is declared during internal verification; some thoughtful and caring people leave corrupted files in their Shared areas. There is nothing wrong with your computer. Just make sure that you don't leave these files in your Shared area without a clear warning attached up-front. Better still, remove them from your Shared area altogether. There are some files to avoid. For example, amend your filters to exclude hits with !!! or / in the results. There is nothing to worry about in the err.txt and out.txt appearing after installation. |
