![]() I have never been able to use chat in any of the Limewire versions I have used either to talk to other users who have Chat enabled or to reply to their messages. I have never felt this feature was useful. Indeed, since so many of the messages sent to me were abusive (complaining about the slowness of the uploads) I serious considered disabling it. So please, sebdude, do not assume that subscribers to threads have failed to grasp the obvious. There always have been problems with this feature that successive upgrades have failed to resolve. |

![]() I have just reread my post and I may have sounded a bit grumpy. Sorry, I did not intend to be anything but constructive. If you look back through the threads, you will see that Chat problems have been a consistent "don't work for me" complaint. I have read through the Gnutella design documentation and see why Chat is supposed to work. It just doesn't, that's all. Anyway, good talking to you (although not as cool as using Chat). David |
