![]() I have an iMac. I was downloading music today and the last song I downloaded would not save. "A Fatal Error Occured While Saving The File iTunes 3 Music Library." It tells me before closing itunes. Now I can't play any song on my itunes without this message. Should I restart? Will I lose All my files? is there a way to back them up without burning them all to CD's? what should I do to fix this? please help. -b |

![]() Hi Billy--I hope someone who knows iTunes can help, but in the meantime, you could duplicate your itunes Music folder. Option-drag it to the desktop if you have the room, or duplicate it (Finder > File > Duplicate; cmd-D). At least you'll have a backup, but that shouldn't be necessary. Restart or if using OS 10.2, restart in safe boot (hold down the shift key right after the start-up chime). This will do a file structure check (fsck) and fix simple problems. With luck, this is all that you'll need to do before restarting normally. What OS are you using? |
