![]() I downloaded this app. 'Adobe Illustrator 10' application off of Limewire and the darn thing won't launch. I installed it and used a cd key code I also got off Limewire and it went ahead and did all the installing this or that junk those installers often do but when it came down to the wire and I wanted to do a little 'Adobe Illustrating 10-style' the darn thing hung up on me. I never thought I'd ever say this about a program I downloaded off Limewire but I think this amounts to a bit of tomfoolery on someone's part and my name's not Tom so I'm not laughing. And let me tell you people something, I feel hurt and confused and just a little bit betrayed right now. Oh, I know there are some who would say, 'You get what you pay for" but, hey, it's a free country still, isn't it? Some of the best things in life are free. Yeah, I thought so... I have a new iMac i-life running OS X, 256MB RAM. I also can't get Photoshop 7 to work but that's another issue. If anyone understands my ramblings as a plea for assistance, then please, feel free! TIA. |

![]() Let us start with a statement of what should be the obvious. Limewire is nothing more than a gateway on to the Gnutella network. Limewire is not something you download something "off of". It simply gives you access to the sharing and caring community of Gnutella users. That some of those users may not share fully operational software packages, or offer virus-bearing, corrupted or spoof files for downloading is an occupational hazard for all Gnutella users. As to the substance of your complaint — you seem to think not only that you have a right to rip off Adobe products, but also that you can come on to this public forum and ask for help on how to complete your attack upon the capitalist, globalised copyright regime that prevents you from enjoying a free lunch, but enables many professional Adobe users to earn their daily crusts with software costs built into their overheads. I suggest that you find somewhere more understanding to ask your questions. |

![]() Thanks for your generousity in this matter. However I have since deduced the nature of the difficulty I was experiencing with the software in question; and am quite satisfied with its performance thus far. I will, no doubt, come here again with questions from time to time so don't be surprised to see more such posts from me in the future! Best wishes---mrvindsl ![]() |
