Do you get any last message if that happens? Try having the Console running to see if there is anything suspicious in the system log. Also try turn on the crash reporter, that might help to pinpoint the problem.

Fix the crashing Limewire on launch
 
Delete all existing Limewire installation folders, rename all preferences in your home directory Library folder, and install Limewire in the default location. That worked for me.

i have the same problem as blackbird. it will run for a little while and then quit. am i to understand that blackbird has given up on trying to fix it? the program is as good as useless like this. i have a new powerbook 12".

oh well i cant fix the problem so i just switched to aquisition. sorry. i just take what works.

LW quit!!
 
Have anyone figured out how to fix the nasty LW quit problem under OS X? I have tried to reinstall everything from scratch several times, with no luck...

Yes, use the jum version. The jum build of Limewire can be found here: http://baghira.han.de/~jum/

Also, if you're running for a long time, try to eliminate as many open GUI threads as possible. That means close the Monitor, Library and Connecetions tab and don't enable advanced statistics.

He did refer to the connection monitor window in LimeWire and not your primary display.
