Sounds like the issues here are serious, so I'll skip the mundane solution.

Do you use a proxy to connect? Or some sort of netmask?

As a way to check, go to whatismyip.com and see if the IP displayed there matches your actual IP and is not a proxy nor a netmask.

I activated port 6346 in my firewall, but it sttill doesn´t work!!!!!
Please help me!!!!!!
I can report the same. I switched off the Firewall, opened FTP when that didn't help much, very quirky connection. Occasionally I get an UltraPeer long enough to run a short search but it doesn't last.

I regret wasting my $9.50. The previous Limewire did work occasionally, but even the .jum update isn't fixing this problem.

Mac OS X.2.6, 600 Mhz iBook

Alright, your firewall is off? Once again, are you in an educational institution or on a network? Secondly, how long do you wait for your connections before searching? I'd suggest waiting about 5 minutes, because it can often take limewire a couple mins to establish four stable ultrapeer connections, as often they fall out.

Do you use other gnutella software at the same time? Or have u used it previous? Because it may be set that you're listening on a diff port than 6346, oten 6347 or 6348, so open those ports too.

I'm a home user, so routers and hardware Firewalls are out.

I shut off OS X's Firewall, also opened all the FTP ports. Maybe a future .jum build will improve matters.

Thanks.

Hey, good news ! Maybe it'll help somebody else: I had restarted after opening the FTP port, even tried shutting the Firewall off, didn't help. Until I had to do a full shutoff overnight, not something I usually do. The next day, LimeWire worked fine.

Now, if the Force Resume would only be able to fix the "Awaiting Sources" problem, things would be sweet.
