iTunes - will they integrate it with file naming? As it stands now, only the song title is used as the file name owing to iTunes' system of folders. is there any way for LimeWire to import files and name them Artist - Song Name? Just trying to organize my files.... ******Retentive Alphabetizer |

No. Limewire cannot and does not change or alter in any way the files of something dled. But...if anyone could make an applescript that would read the ID3 tags of a file and rename it to the Artist - Song Format that would be really cool. However, I don't think such an apple script could be made, nor do I know who could make it. |

I guess you could use Metadata Hootenanny To change the metadata in the file. That way you can change Artist, Name, Album, Year, copyright and so on. |

iTunes Scripts to change filenames Quote:
http://www.malcolmadams.com/itunes/s...cripts07.shtml iTunes is scriptable folks.. these awsome scripts make iTunes the most powerful MP3 player around. And yes, there is one to rename all iTunes MP3 files to Artist-Song etc... Just go to the "managing files" section. Enjoy |
