Internal errors!

i keep getting these pesty internal error messages even after I installed Limewire 3.2.0. and mailed to bugs@limewire.com.
There seems to be no way to stop the messages and they freeze up the application. I have uninstalled and reinstalled limewire a few times but always the same bug:

LimeWire version 3.2.0
Java version 1.3.1 from Apple Computer, Inc.
Mac OS X v. 10.2.6 on ppc

Getting Fed Up!

What are you doing when the error occurs?

Are you in the 'search' tab, the 'monitor' tab, the 'connections' tab, or the 'library' tab?

Did you recently do a search? Were you scrolling through results? Did anything strange happen?

We're trying to diagnose the problem.

I am not sure as to exactly what action I was taking at the moment the error message occurs but I can tell you I was in the search tab and probably scrolling and downloading a lot of files!
I will try to be more observant next time.
The most annoying thing is , once the error message appears there is no way to get out of it! It just seems to be in a loop and locks up the program even after I copy the report and email. It doesn't even allow me to quit the program unless I use force quit. Sometimes after restart, it works for awhile but eventually the error messages show up.
Thanks, Ron

Thanks for the information, Ron.

If you experience the error multiple times, try to find out if anything was similiar about those times (but different than other times it didn't happen). We're actively looking into what may be causing the problem.

Thanks again.

I've just installed Limewire Pro on my mac yesterday. I'm running mac OS 10.3 and I also keep getting an internal error while using Limewire Pro. I think it may be the same problem but I'm not sure. It happens to me when I'm in the search tab after initiating a download. I notice it after leaving my computer for a few minutes so it can download. This morning did what was suggested in the link on the suport page to do with a Java issue acknoledged by apple. I thought that that had fixed the problem because it worked and I managed to get a couple things downloaded off of Limewire. However then the error started up again and I haven't been able to finish any other downloads. I'm nor sure if any of this has helped you diagnos the issue or if it's even related at all but hopefully it can be worked out. Peace.

I'm having the exact same problem. My problem occurs within three to five minutes from the time I start downloading music from under the search program. A box appears in Limewire stating that an internal error has occured...but Limewire freezes so I can't send the problem out. The next step is that I always have to force quit Limewire. Can anyone help me out please?
Thanks Alot Tyler

If LW has been running for quite a while on OS X (or the OS is using lots of Virtual Memory), those warning boxes can take up to 5 or more minutes to cancel. THe worst I recall was 20 minutes.

Just be patient, wait for the beachball to eventually stop spinning, close or cancel those dialogs, and scream and rant at Apple for their java development ;)

Also, shutting down OS X for more than 2 minutes after a really intensive session helps (the memory and VM is cleared, and you get back a gig or so of HD space).

[Sam--I can't believe this thread is from 2 years ago and Apple hasn't made more java progress in that time. Thanks for keeping them aware of the problems]
