Can't Play WMV's Everytime I try to play a WMV, the crappy windows media player version for MAC shuts down and then the browser pops up and gives me a message that my version is not compatible with Windows Rights Media Manager V7. Then it takes me to this link there there are all these compatible players. I've checked ten of them and they all only work on Windows. Is there a player that will work on MAC OS X with Windows Rights Manager V7. The message also said that if I couldn't find that, I should look for something with Windows Media Rights Identifier V7. Help please. |
wmv not supported...yet? I haven't found one that works yet either. |
Windows Rights Media Manager V7 I have the same problem as Meov Jack. I tired VLC, no luck there either... anyone found a solution or are thoses files just crap??? Do they load on PC's??? Thanx Steve eMac G4, 1.25gHz, OS10.3.5, DSL, VLC .072, Limewire 4.1.5jum351Pro |
Not really a great amount of help but here's a few links: Need to scroll down to bottom of page for answer in this one! , & these others are the same prob: 2nd link (click me) , & this last one: 3rd link for similar prob And along with VLC there's also MPlayer: http://mplayerosx.sourceforge.net/ Personally I hate wmp & touch it only as a last resort. It's so unstable, unreliable, & wants to link you to M$. Why not try to dwnld alternative movie formats. And get a few xtra codecs as well; eg: divx, 3ivx, etc. |
