limewire lauches itunes but plays nothing

wow, I can't get itunes and limewire to play nicely.
I have itunes set as default player.
It is not 'seeing' the limewire songs..could this be a roadblock put up by apple so you buy stuff from thier store.? I have tried Add to Library and that does not work either.
argggg. help

Go to an mp3 file and get info. Set itunes as the default player, just try double clicking, it should open that way.
