Could we perhaps get a more detailed description of your problem?

Try uninstalling it and deleting everything that says limewire in it and then reinstalling the latest version.

Unhappy 357 broken

Mac OSX LimewirePro 357 won't shutdown --- it minimizes to the dock. A little box pops up when I pass my curser over the docked icon that says something like it's setting up 1,000's of files to share (with the number increasing as I watch). Frankly, that scares the hell outa me -- are those MY files it's setting up without my OK?

I've dumped it and gone back to 356 until I get some kind of comfortable explanation ---

Oh yea --- current on the system updates --- permissions repaired --- uninstalled auto and manual search -- reinstalled --- checked prefs, etc.

OS10.2.6 G4 450 AGP 768MRAM networked to DSL

The number over the docked icon is how many files are available on the network.

When you shutdown and it minimizes, that is because the options under "shutdown after files transfers are complete" is checked. Uncheck for an immediate shutdown.

Hmmm --- I notice your tag line sez LW 356. Have you tried 357?

Thanx for clearing the "thousands" issue for me!

You may be right about the checkmark. I've always had that checked as courtesy to others. If so,*** the behavior is different****. Is it now looking at my *waiting for something* download list to complete --- instead of just *uploads in progress*?

Nice program --- but a BIG weakness in knowing what to expect ---- no single good readme for a non-techy user. A recurring LimeWire theme in Version Tracker user feedback is "what has changed?" --- info that *might* be found with considerable fumbling around.

Nevermind --- I downloaded 357Pro again, just in case I got a polluted first try. It seems to shutdown just fine ----

and guess what?

--- it's 358 even though the DL page still claims 357
