Default Firewall

I can't connect because I think my university put me behind a firewall. Is there ANY way I can get by this and be able to connect and download files?

Ask your network administrator if they will allow connections to gnutella. If not, Jens-Uwe Mager ("jum") implemented support for proxy connections, thanks to the work of trap_jaw

If you know a network connection guru, take a look at http://baghira.han.de/~jum/LimeWire.html for the version with the proxy patch

Hi,

I downloaded the file, but I don't know what to do with it.
Could somebody please tell me what to do, I would like to use a proxy in LimeWire.
Thank you!
