Angry Options????? how do i connect to a different network??

I have limewire client 2.7.2 pro, running on an ibook g3 on a fast college campus network. the problem is that i cant select to only browse the files on our network here, which is much faster (i occaisionally run across hosts on our network and it lists them as ethernet for the speed, i get up to 2000kps on those...) anyhow, other folks here have versions of limewire that somehow are configured to browse just the school network, but cant switch my version to that, because i have no options menu under tools. for some reason it just doesnt show up. the statistics thingy is there, but no options. i've gone through about every other menu option/preference/network setting and nothing is to be found that will let me get my hands on the 2 terabytes of stuff that my roomate can get at speeds in excess of 2mbps. any insight would be appreciated.

2.7.2 is pretty old (current is 3.5.8 or beta 3.6.1). What version are your friends running?

i also tried using the version you can get from download.com and even got someone to burn me a copy of their version, but both have the same problem, "options" (which is what i think i need to be able to access to switch networks) doesnt show up under the "tools" menu. the other versions i tried running were 3.5.8 and 3.5.7 .

On OSX Options are in LimeWire->Preferences.
