Can't Connect...

I used limewire fine last year with OS 10.2.1...didn't use it all summer (dialup) and have yet to get it to work this fall back at school with 10.2.6

I open it up, and it connects for like .2 seconds, then turns red again.

I've read some threads on this same problem, but does anyone have a solution??? It's massively irritating, especially since it worked fine last year!

OS 10.2.6; 256 mb; 700mhz ibook; attempting to connect through campus wireless and also campus ethernet.

I use a similar machine with LW 3.6.1 Pro Beta, and it works well. If you are using a current version of LW, have opened the OSX firewall (as frequently posted elsewhere), and are sharing ~100 files, then it's time to ask your school network admin if they allow p2p filesharing on port 6346.

En effet, it seems like P2Pying is not allowed at your school at least for gnutella protocol. You can try changing the port in preferences: advanced-port to 8000 for exemple. If it doesn't work, you can try other mac P2P on other protocols like poisoned, xnap, iswipe and mlmac. (find them on versiontracker.com).

Bonne chance
