Angry command V causes LW to shut down

I can't paste into the search box. using command V causes a shut-down

An edit menu would sure be nice, but I just tried pasting some text into the search box, and it worked. (LW 3.6.1 Beta; OS 10.2.8).

10.2.8 was pulled for a week, then released again Friday. Lots of suggestions for safe boot/repair permissions and more on the Apple discussion boards, and some mentions of Safari crashes fixed/not fixed.
Here's a link if that helps

I ran the software update patch, and so far so good here.

Man I hope I just lucked out.

I'm running 10.2.8, LW 3.5.8 and Safari. I have had no problems. If there are settings that you guys would like to compair, let me know... maybe it's set-up, maybe not.
