3.6.14 Works For Panther We've received confirmation that LimeWire 3.6.14 will correctly run on a Panther system that Apple's upgrade process corrupted. Thank you to everyone who helped out in finding ways to workaround the problem. |

That is correct. Apple chose to break Java 1.4 with their Panther upgrade, so features that are only present on Java 1.4 (such as scroll-wheel support) are missing. As soon as Apple decides to release a fix (via Software Update or other channels), LimeWire will regain the use of the scroll-wheel. You may go to http://developer.apple.com/technotes/tn2002/tn2099.html for more information. |

I just tried the update and it did not work. I am running a 500mhz Ti powerbook G4, with 1gb of RAM and OS X 10.3. As soon as I try a download, it shows instant completion and a message saying that it is "unable to save the file." My shared folder is gone, and it only shows the most recent download attempt (1) in the incomplete file folder. Hope this helps. |

When a download is really fast, the browser (safari?) is reading from the cache. Deleting the file from the download folder--desktop, usually--and clearing the cache usually helps me get a clean fresh download. I've seen this from both the Apple servers and the LW servers. |
