Default Help Sharing Files......

Hello there,
I've just compleated a video which I want to share with some people using Limewire, so I've put the MPG into my shared folder in limewire, so that it shows in the libary, but when I search for it nothing comes up, I don't know if this is because you can't search for file on your own computer, so I was wandering if anyone could do me a large favor and seach and see what happens, as I don't know of anyone else that uses limewire.

The files called.......escape pod losing control

ok then, if anyone gets time to have a look, thanks a load, it's a big favor, and i'll be leaving my computer on for ages so the files there to share. bye

I've searched on and off for "escape pod losing control .mpg" over the last few days with no luck--sorry.

Did you find out how to open the firewall and forward the router?

Well thanks a load for looking Stief, I really appreciate you taking time out, I'm starting to think about giving up, I don't know if you know of any other way's I might be able to get my stuff out to a lot of people.
Still really struggeling with limewire at the moment, I've got real up to date software but getting files and giveing files is all wrong, my friend has OS9.2 and a version of Limewire He's been running for a few mounths and it goes just fine, I really don't know where to start looking to get it sorted, and giving up on limewire seems like a good choice right now, oh well thanks for your help, and if you've got any smart ideas they would be welcome.

try opening the preferences->Bug Reports->View Example and look for the line (about 1/3 of the scroll bar) that says

Received incoming this session: true

If you have been running for a few hours and it says 'false', that means you are still being blocked from uploading your stuff easily.

btw--can you get your videos to your OS 9 friend and see if he can share them?

also, if you go to the Connections Page, and you and your friend both type in each other's IP addresses and port in the box beside the ADD button, you can try to force LW to make a route to each other's files.

Smile

(hit return too soon) What I had to do was completely uninstall the old Limewire and trash all related files before installing the upgrade. FINALLY, I can stop feeling guilty for freeloading.
