sorted out force quit when shutting down, but still freezing during save/ verify sequence, often to the point of having to.... yes you guessed it, force quit. Help!!

I have exactly the same problem, which only began to occur recently. It's incredibly annoying, to say the least. A little help would be nice, thanks.
