user created themes on OS X

Hi

I tried to follow the instructions for creating new themes carefully. I made sure to leave all the filenames intact and zipped (using DropZip) all the files and renamed them to zgreen_theme.lwtp However, even after restarting limewire my new theme was not visible. More interestingly, neither are the auto installed limewirePro_theme and windows_theme. then I thought I'd get really clever and rename my theme to green_theme (which i could use) after renaming the original green_theme to have the word original in it. Lo and behold, the theme menu now shows a green_original_theme but does not show MY green_theme. So obviously there is something in both my theme and the windows and limeworPro theme than the theme parser doesn't like. Any clues.

Oh yes, I'm working with Mac OS X 10.2.5

Thanks
John

The LimeWire Pro theme is available only for LimeWire Pro users, and the Windows Theme is available only for Windows users.

Are you positive the new theme you're making its a zip file renamed to end with "lwtp"? It might be that the 'DropZip' program does not create normal zip files.

theme problem

I have a similar problem with a new theme I want to create :
I'm on Mac OSX 10.2.8 with LimeWire Pro 3.6.15. I followed the step by step instructions and when is the time to zip : I put the inside of my theme folder ( without the folder ) in which was the "theme.text" with the 41 pictures of the generic_theme to zip with Stuffit Deluxe 8 and got a file "montheme_theme.zip", then I changed the extension to .lwtp and got a FOLDER "montheme_theme.lwtp" in which were my 42 parts.I put this folder in the themes folder of Limewire preferences and tried to use it but the software told me it was invalid !
If I look in the themes folder all the themes have two parts : one folder without any extensions containing the 42 parts and one file with the name of the theme followed by the .lwtp extension. I have just one part which is a folder with the extension .lwtp containing the 42 parts ( 41 pictures + 1 theme.text ).
How to get this file .lwtp and why is it my folder that has the .lwtp extension ?
I cannot open those files .lwtp of others theme on the Mac ...
What was wrong in my try ?
thanks to help me

Salut ą tous, I also got the problems of LW not picking my theme once it was in the appropriate limewire preference folder on osx. I think this is a osx specific LW problem and I'd like you Sam to resolve it. Mac users are great at making themes ;) and the community would benefit if we would be allowed to create our themes.

Merci

I'll take a look into it after we stabilize the 3.7 series.
