OS X or Classic

Limewire is running ok (for the moment:).
OS X 10.1.5, LW 3,6,15. ultra peer off.
with the latest LW(3,8,?) it disconnected my internet connection.
When running LW, launching I E or any other program I had to restart.

A thank you goes out to everyone contributing to this forum. Hey, it beats contacting the guys who built the apps, right? They are busy trying to improve them.
But seriously, can anyone tell me if it's worth to go to the store and buy Apple's latest OS X (Panther). Or should I just be happy with OS X version 10.1.5? I 've been running on Classic for as long as I can remember and telling every Window(licker) they can stuff it. But with OS X I'm not sure if it's an improvement.
It has the 'look and feel' of XP. Doesn't it?
I know this maybe isn't the right forum for this question but I would appreciate it if some enthousiastic OS X user tells me I'm wrong and should be at the store emptying my wallet for "the best thing in Town".
Cheers,

Keep the info comin'. I don't mind.

Get Panther--the rest of the family much prefers it on the G4 iMac, so I guess I'll be upgrading my iBook G3 shortly from 10.2.8. You could always partition your HD and run both 10.1 and 10.3 or better yet, get a supported FW drive while the cash is running :)

I think the best part of Panther is that you can have multiple users running. My kids can have their p2p software running even when the parents switch users to check mail, etc. (and we don't have to put up with their bizarre desktop schemes!) So for us just the fast user switching is the best part, and Panther does seem to run faster.

And isn't XP a Mac look-alike? ;) , just like Windows was a Mac OS look-and-feel switch from DOS?
