I don't think 10.1.5 included a built in firewall (search your Apple help menu for more info). On 10.2/10.3 it's in the System Preferences->Sharing settings.

Ask the person responsible for the firewall settings about allowing two-way connectuons on port 6346, or if they would recommend a proxy server.
