burning to DVD or SVCD using superdrive

I'm pretty new to this but I'm running OSX 10.2.8 with superdrive but I can't find out how to burn my limewire movie downloads to CD or DVD. I can view the avi files in quicktime etc. I've managed to do that. And yesterday I tried to download X11 as it seemed to lead me to an answer but it required 10.3 so I'm stumped. Any ideas?
