sharing nested files yo, I'm a new user, and am curious about Limewire's ability to share files within folders. It doesn't seem like this works, just wondering if it is some easy fix, or if Limewire only shares files in a folder's root directory. |
Yeah, I'm not too sure 'bout that either. I mean, someone told me that you have to tell LW which folders to share, meaning that you also have to tell it to share every single folder in your Shared folder, but then I got a reply that told me that LW Shares *everything* that is in the Shared folder: files and contents of folders. So, there seems to be a little confusion. Besides, at one time, LW was goofing up and showed that I was sharing more files than I had in my Shared, so I figured that it does share the contents of sub-folders. But then again, after a while, it stopped telling me that I was sharing that many files and the number decreased instead to the number of individual files (not oflders and folder contents) that were in my Shared. |
thanks :) |
AFAIK LimeWire discovers shared folders up to a certain level. I don't know how deep it goes, but at least one level is sure. |
