Strange behavior

Hi

I have found that LimeWire is behaving strangely ; I explain :

1) 1st Problem :
I have quite a long of standing download
LW is doing nothing

I search for Jon Anderson
LW start to download one song that I had waiting !

2) 2nd problem :
I search for artist = "Caravan" I get a lot of junk and LW finds 2 song by the group "Caravan"

I search for artist "Caravan" and album "New symphonia", LW finds the 10 songs of the album

Thanks for fixing this

Best

Strange behavior (cont)

Hi

I forgot another strange behavior :

You download a series of song that are on the same host, instead of downloading the song one after one,
LW download a little of one song, download a bit of a 2nd, download a bit of the 3rd one ....

Why not finishing the 1st song first !

Thanks for fixing this

Are you as Yes fan as well? It sounds as though u need to improve your techniques. See some pointers from this thread click me. Of course when u do a search u are finding fresh resources. If a file stops dwnlding, cancel it from your dwnld pane & reselect it to dwnld it from your search results. LW tends to use a share time process, where it will dwnld a bit from one & a bit from another. This is very evident if u get stuck in a queu & you get shared time with others for dwnlding that same file. If the 1st tune is really a high priority time-wise, do another search for that one to see if you can find new/xtra sources. As far as accuracy of searches goes, it can be a touch annoying. You might consider temporarily putting in keyword filters to filter out these unwanted results. Go to LW's prefs, Filters & click this open & select keyword. Those annoying results not wanted can be added. Don't forget to press Apply. Then after you've completed searching & dwnlding the wanted items, go back & delete the temp filters u added. By the way, a good keyword to permanently be filtered out is .exe That will keep out much of that pc rubbish (some which is virus & spyware) out of your results. Hope these suggestions help.
