erratic behavior I go crazy when I see shrubs face and when I hit the up or down button in library, the whole screen flashes white for an instant, what should I do? |
Actually I don't have an answer, except it happens to me when I leave my cursor near mp3 id tag's in the search window it will suddenly do this. I don't think it's anything to panic about. I had considered posting about this myself some time back but forgot all about doing it. Actually I just checked it out & it's the same thing when I check out my incomplete folder. It's the mp3 id tag info's that seems to send LW crazy. Luckily you're in OSX & not OS9 or earlier where it might affect other things. In osx I think we're pretty safe with its ram management. But annoying, that flashing is/can be. I just try to be careful not to leave my cursor hovering over mp3's for too long or without direction/thought. |
Same here. It sometimes does this more or less in the same cases as LOTR. Probably 'cause of Java and/or low RAM. (I'm not saying that my java is corrupt. Just that Java stuff don't seem to be very stable...) |
I'm not sure it's ram. Although I generally have many apps going simultaneously & some r greedy for ram, at present (I'm only running 8 apps but they're all small mouths to feed.) I have 1.5 GB so I suspect you're probably hitting the nail on the head when you suggested the instability of Java. I thought Java was a nice hot island in Indonesia. Overs the yrs I've had issues with Java on other macs. |
