Exclamation New connection causes computer to freeze!

I'm using Mac OSX version 10.2.6 and have never had a problem with Limewire. Ever since I moved and now use Roadrunner to connect to the Internet, every time I open up Limewire my computer freezes and I have to restart. How can I correct this problem?

The easiest way would be to buy the most recent G5. Only kidding! Are U using the same type of connection & same speeds? You may need to recalibrate LW so to speak. When I hear of freezing on a mac it stinks of incompatibility. 1st thought is Java (& Java has a history of those fx.) Make sure U have the most recent version of Java that OS 10.2.6 can handle. Failing that, U may need to reinstall LW.

Also, R u sure your new ip allows p2p?

I tried uninstalling LW and reinstalling it after updating Java and I also tried using older versions. Nothing seems to work. My computer will either freeze or lose the internet connection so I have to restart either way. Would this have anything to do with the fact that I'm using wireless access? This is really frustrating me and I can't think of anymore possibilities of what the problem is besides this.
