Do you recomend another P2P program?

Hi!

I've heard and read that LimeWire is the Top of the Greatest p2p programs, n' I really like it, but.... I actually canīt find all the things I would like to have, or if I find them they are mostly unavailable. So... Do u recomend me another program to download files?

Mac 10.3 user 1.2GHz 256 MB.
Roger.

Thanks!

Oh! I forgot!

...and my internet connection still getting freeze when I start LimeWire for about 10 minutes until it get a Good-Excelente quality connection. Actually, the Internet Connection freeze for all my home-computers connected to the same router that provides me the DSL connection. (it's a 256Kbps DSL connection) Poor I know!

First thing I will recommend is to not use your email (if it even is yours) as you nick in any forum.
Now, as to getting another P2P application, yes, I think that getting another one is a good idea (I've got 3, if you count BitTorrent). The reason is that different things are more available in different networks. For example, LW is better for music.
One, oh so popular, P2P application is BitTorrent (@ www.bitconjurer.com for the official one). It is kind of different than other "conventional" p2p apps though as you have to look for the files you want to dld yourself in the net: it doesn't have a search function.
I also use Phex (http://phex.kouk.de/). It is also a very good application. Some people will also recomend Acquisition (http://www.acquisitionx.com/), but I've never tried it so I can't tell.

I recommend the donkey network, you can use eMule, eDonkey, Overnet, Shareaze etc. if you are looking for videos and games there isnīt a better net you will find almost everything!

@ murasame

I donīt think he will be able to find anything with Phex or Acquisation what he canīt find with Limewire they are using the same net. ;)

Atchaaa, I forgot to mention that. But he might llike the look and feel of, say, Phex more than LW's. I, for one, love foxes.

May I also add Poisoned, Carracho and HotLine in that order.

Poisoned is particularly very good but you can reach the point of exhaustion where all who share, have shared. But then that is true of all p2p.

Look at PC alternatives. I find LW on MacOSX dreadfully slow both in DL and interface, whereas it is quite acceptable on my PC running through exactly the same connection. In fact my Mac is acting as the router.
