virex problem
 

I have limewire pro, mac os 10.3 and virex software. After unzipping the downloaded program, when I try and open up the exe file, virex pops up, scans the file, finds no problems, but then...nothing.

I emailed Limewire assistance, I'm not sure what the problem is...my firewall allows gnutella, so..? Please help, thanks for reading this.

I'm not too sure exactly why you're interested in .exe files? Exe files ONLY work on windows not mac! Whilst some mac files are occasionally saved into a compressed file such as zip, generally stay away from files intended for mac that are not sit, dmg, hqx, bin, or toast.

thanks, lotr, I was used to dloading exe files on my pc, I didn't stop to think about needing a different extension :rolleyes:
