Question Limewire Launching Problems

Hello, I'm Kate and I'm kinda new in all what is MAC OSX... But still, I'm not stupid
I have a problem launching Limewire, I download it, the OSX version and everything seems to be perfect. But when I double-click it to start it, doesn't start...
If i put the application shortcut in the Dock, the icon bounces twice and remains there... nothing happens...

The application doesnt say "error" nor anything, just it doesn't open up... just like that

What could it be? has that happened to anyone else besides me?

Thanks a lot for reading this and I hope you can give me some advice...

PS: my acquisition application doesn't work either but in another way: says "connecting" all the time and never gets real connected.

See ya! and thanks again

Kate
