Default deleting cache

Just wanted to delete the download list from LW pro as sometimes when I refresh from the library it activates some again, but am not sure which file to delete from LW prefs, using panther.

Thanks

You mean you want to kill some dlds and not have them come back (ever again, unless you search for them and download them anew)?
In that case you have to options:

either

-go directly to the Incompletes folder in the Finder (opening a new window by pressing Cmd-N will get you to the right place) and searching for the files to delete then moving them to the trash manually.

or

-Launch LW and go to the Library pane and select the Incompletes folder. Search for the files there, select them and click delete.

I suggest the second option as the first might corrupt the downloads.dat file needed to resume killed files.

If you don't have any active downloads (meaning that you have only comleted dlds and killed dlds which you no longer want in your comp) you can delete the entire content of the incompletes folder (from the Finder. The content, not the folder itself). Even the downoads.dat and .bak files. Lw will create new ones next time it launches.

Cheers

It would be nice if when you kill a download in progress or just some incomplete file that it will delete the file from the hard drive as well or put it in the recycle bin. Cause if you don't want it, why leave it on your hard drive? At least the option would be nice.

Nope. There are many cases of people accidentally killing a dld, so to be able to continue the dld from where it left off is good.
What you can do is set the days to keep incomplete files on your comp to, like, 2 days and you're set.
