Does iTunes duplicate tracks I download? Hey, Have searched but not found this specific question on here... When I download a track, iTunes is very handily importing it, but when I do a Search on OSX, the track shows up twice: once in my download folder, and once over in the iTunes folder. So... I've got duplicate tracks, using twice the hard drive space, right? My hard drive space is at a bit of a premium, so I've been deleting the downloaded version and keeping the iTunes imported version... So that means I can't share the downloaded stuff, though, doesn't it? Unless I make my iTunes music folder my shared drive...? But I'm a bit worried the powers that be will have me for that... Cheers for help and advice! Owen |
Well, you could share just certain folders within your iTunes library. (I do that.) Some people like having 2 copies so they can backup what they've dwnlded. |
