![]() Updated to Mac OSX 10.3.6 and LimeWire Pro 4.0.8 won't launch. Reinstalled the app - same problem. Same problem with the new 4.1 beta app as well. (1.25 GHz G4 iMac, 80 Gig hard drive, 1 Gig RAM, OSX 10.3.6, T-1 internet connection). Help! |

![]() All suggestions to no avail. I've done all the removals, clean installs, and even redoing the system and reinstalling all my apps and docs (2 full days worth the work). Still, when I go to install LimeWire Pro versions 4.0.6 or 4.0.7, the install is blocked with the red exclamation mark on the hard drive saying the application cannot load on this drive (null), however, the LimeWire Pro beta (4.0.8, I believe) loads up just fine, except that it still won't load up when launched. I'm really inclined to believe that there is a conflict between LimeWire Pro and the new Mac OSX 3.5.6 update. Is anyone else out there experiencing a similar problem? Thanking all in advance, Cedar Bear |

![]() meaning that when I attempt to load the application onto the hard drive, the hard drive rejects the action. Only the beta (4.1) is allowed the green light to load on. But even then it won't launch. (When I check for the preferences files, they were not there, due to the initial launch not happening.) |

![]() This solved the problem of my being able to load up the apps, for both 4.0 or 4.1 done either as an upgrade or a downgrade, as I would trash the afore described file each time before loading one up. Still, LimeWire will not launch. This is getting really frustrating. |

![]() I'd like to be able to help. but I have the same Mac (minus some Ram and with slower net) and it runs smoothly still... Why don't you try if Acquisition and Phex work, then we might get an inkling, where the problem lies. You can also try downloading the jum build: http://www.mager.org/LimeWire/LimeWire.html It doesn't need an installation (as almost no OSX App really does).

![]() Thank you BadAss101. Your posting concerning the Java glitch did the trick. Looks like you found how to work around this bug. I'm reposting your posting here again for those referring to this particular thread who may not be aware of yours. "Sorted the problem. It looks like there is a problem after installing the new osx update to 10.36 with Java. After following all the other threads, and doing all the repair permissions re-starts re-installs etc things were no better!! The soloution for me in the end that was quick and simple was simply to go to the apple web site, and download the latest standalone Java - Java142Update2.dmg (http://www.apple.com/downloads/maco...aupdate142.html) Once installed and re-started.......voila limewire works again." Viva la LimeWire and this forum! |
