LW Pro does not launch

Powerbook G4 17" 1.5GHz, OS 10.3.6, cable internet, everything connected and working.
I double-click in the LW Pro app icon and it does not launch. What's up?

Ahm...

Select the Finder and open a new window. Go to the Applications folder and delete LW.
Browse to the <username> directory (the "Home" one) and go into the Library. Enter the Preferences folder and find the folder called Limewire-> to the Trash.

http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...pro_lookup.jsp ->enter your email adress and redld Pro (may I suggest at this point that you dld the latest beta Pro).
Reinstall.

Does it still refuse to Launch?

Before you do re-install, do a SAFE restart & Repair Permissions & re-install using the standalone Java installer. This can apparently fix some issues with Java (See slin's post & link to standalone Java installer) And then install LW & do another safe boot.

It's always good to repair your permissions with Disk Utility after a Safe restart both before & after you install software. Otherwise seemingly unknown errors can appear such as trying to launch the app. This combined process takes perhaps 15-25 mins. But it's worth the effort to be safe & keep your system healthy.

Already done that. Still NG.

Did you re-install Java using the Standalone installer? Some people have had problems with 10.3.6 updates. They suggested the 10.3.6 Combo standalone installer solves it. This suggests possible problems with updating online.

Okay! The Java re-install did it! Works now. Thanks guys!
