what are bin files
 

just been messing about with toast and was trying to work out what bin files are

There are many types of bin files particularly for windows. Some games save their files as bin also.

For mac bin means MacBinary Archive Format, more common in pre-osx systems. This is roughly similar to HQX & SIT files. For windows bin can be an image file. I think Toast may have the ability to burn such files. See THIS (click in link) for further explanations & bin types.
