 4.2.6 causes system freeze? At a friend's urging I finally upgraded to Pro for OSX a few days ago and in general I'm happy with the increase in performance. (I'm not sure why my friend reports that he's almost always connected to seven Ultrapeers when it seems I never get more than five, though.) However, frequently now when I'm running LimeWire, the screen will freeze up and the only thing that responds is mouse movement, but the system will not respond to ANY clicks or keys. This first happened when I tried to view the "monitor" tab, but now it seems to happen no matter what I do. I'm on an 800MHz IBook with 256 MB of memory.  |
