Get to position 1 and then back to waiting Hi, I run an iMac with OS 10.2.8. I started using Limewire 4.2.6. I was able to download without any problem at the beginning. Then I tried a large program with many parts. Specifically, a book with 109 chapters. Downloaded more than 50 with no problem. Now when I get "waiting in line, position 1" (usually decreasing from a higher number) nothing happens. It goes back to "waiting for busy hosts". I read another post in the forum that suggested decreasing the number of items attempting download. So I reduced it to 10. Still the same problem. What can I do to solve the problem if it's something I'm doing. Although I'm sure I've done nothing to change any of the preferences. Thanks. Rourke |
If you get knocked back in a queue, it's generally due to some leech type p2p apps. They will jump queue & some that do allow uplding may knock back certain ones in a queue. I'd suggest you keep doing searches & varying your searches to try to find more sources to downld from. Also, perhaps trying at a different time of day or week can sometimes get better results. I presume you share files. http://users.pandora.be/eforum/emoti...ep/schla24.gif |
Thanks. I'm thinking time of day may be helpful. I was getting more downloads early morning and late at night. Obviously I can't do anything about apps that bump people. Rourke (who's pleased to say that I'm finally uploading to others and sharing) |
