Uploading / Sharing my files?
 

I've put a few of my Quicktime movies in my "shared" folder, but I don't see them when I do a limewire search. I've selected file sharing "on" on my system (OSX). Any ideas?

you won't see your own files in a search (it's redundant), but you can watch the Library columns for hits and uploads.

Also, if you uncheck "Clear Completed Uploads" in the options, you'll be able to see who uploaded your files.

You can also post magnet links to your files at http://www.magnetdb.com/index.php and ask someone to test it.

I can't upload...i can see hits to my files but nothing has been uploaded. Anyone help???

After LW has been open at least 30 mins, Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is it True or False? If it's false then there's something blocking your uploads such as a softw or connection device firewall.

Taa.....Ill try that soon. I've updated my firewall settings and when I search I can see a file I am sharing and i click browse host and it says cannot browse

I changed my settings in the router and now when I go back to it the ip address of 127.0.0.1 i put in has changed back to my own/comp name.

You did also configure your firewall didn't you to allow LW access: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

What's the router you have?

I meant firewall sorry. I'm soo dumb with techy stuff as hubby sorts it all. Not sure what router it is :/
