song titles not displaying
 

My Limewire has stopped displaying the song titles when I perform a search. Everything else works normally, the search works and results list themselves and all other fields are populated (#occurrences, band name, type, size, speed, etc) but a couple of weeks ago the songname field starting blanking out. Totally empty. I can hover over the bandname field and it occassionally shows the song title in the hover yellow-box. Any ideas on how I can fix this? (Limewire 3.8.6 Pro)(OSX 10.3.8)

Try deleting your LW preferences whilst LW is closed (make a note of your settings 1st) & found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

OK, I deleted everything associated with Limewire out of the Preferences directory. When I restarted Limewire it asked me for some simple prefs before running (language, etc). Now in the lower left corner it says "Quality: Disconnected". I try toggling to "Connect" under File but it does nothing. I also followed the instruction to add Gnutella/Limewire to the Firewall as outlined on the Limewire site. I never had connection problems before (including earlier today); obviously cannot tell if the songnames now appear as I cannot connect. Any suggestions from here?

Reboot & try again. LW 3.8 is arguably an earlier version with different & more sensitive attributes.

tried it. no luck. so i upgraded my Limewire. Didn't work either at first but now does. Alls well that ends well. Hopefully I'm cured. Thanks for your help.
